Mission:

Our Mission is to support local producers distributing food & agricultural goods by providing experiences that foster the joy of eating local.

the FARMER’S MARKET must be:

1. GOOD FOR THE FARMER

We strive to keep our market fees low or free in order to aid vendors in the distribution of their products. We also prioritize investing in ways to increase customer traffic in order to create more demand for locally produced goods. Whether a new vendor or a seasoned one, LCFSI will always put producers first in order to build a healthy, sustainable, and local food system.

2. GOOD FOR THE CONSUMER

We maintain the integrity of the Market by monitoring our vendor offerings closely to ensure that customers are getting the highest quality and genuinely locally produced products. Our consumers have the chance to live life with a collection of foods unique to this location and season, and we are proud of it!

3. GOOD FOR THE COMMUNITY

We prioritize community education about sustainable local food systems and healthy eating via farm tours, cooking demonstrations, and programs. We believe our future depends upon our ability to improve the resilience of our food system, and make nutrient-dense food more accessible to at-risk populations.

Our impact

Our markets go beyond your typical shopping experience. We work together with our community partners to create a larger impact in our local food system, by supporting our producers and keeping our community connected.

the people who make it go.

As one might imagine, non-profit work is for the love of the game. We’ve got some amazingly talented and dedicated people on our staff which allows us to realize our vision. Take some time to get to know our team. These people care a whole heck of a lot about connecting you to fresh, local food produced by your neighbors.

We like ‘em. We’re sure you will too.

Sandy Scott - LCFM Manager

Market manager

Welcome Sandy to her first season as LCFM Manager!

Hello!  I’m Sandy Scott, the new Logan County Farmers Market Manager.  I moved to Russells Point in December of 2022 after spending 25 years in the Columbus area.  Since moving to the Lake full time, Bellefontaine has become my “big city”. It didn’t take long to fall in love with this quaint town.  I immediately felt that community feel that I had been craving since my move. The locals and shop owners were so welcoming plus you could tell how proud they were of their town.  That feeling stuck with me.

Many years ago I was a vendor at a farmers market in Cincinnati. I enjoyed being apart of a community of people who grew their own food and made products from local resources.  It’s a special group of people!  When I saw this job opportunity I had to jump on it.  It felt like a great way to connect with a variety of vendors and get involved in the community.  I look forward to spending Saturday mornings with you and I’m excited to  learn about each of you and your businesses.  My goal is to run the market as efficiently as possible so it makes your day easier.  I’m so looking forward to Market Season and seeing the success of each vendor plus the positive impact you bring to the community.

Ashley Vicario Holtcamp - LCFM Asst Manager

Welcome Ashley to her first season as LCFM Asst Manager!

Lisa Engle - ILFM Manager

Lisa has worn many hats for the organization over the years, including being the manager of the LCFM and LCFMO markets simultaneously. With the busyness that is being the mom of a senior in high school, she adds being the ILFM manager to her repertoire. She previously worked with the Logan County Health District, and brings a wealth of knowledge about public safety and planning to our markets that help to keep our shoppers safe and healthy. Coordinating with vendors, communicating with customers, and managing incentives programs, Lisa is a hard worker who is willing to take on any task no matter how challenging.
